ValveCheck3 – Computerised tracking of Thermostatic Mixing Valve maintenance
ValveCheck is designed to help organisations to conform to the legislation governing the control of hot water in public places and the control of Legionella within the DO8 directive. It is a software system which allows administrators to schedule the maintenance of every thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) within an organisation and to record the service history.

BENEFITS
- De skill the valve check operation
- Avoid litigation
- No more paper records
- Complete and easy traceability
- Cut the number of scalding incidents
- Reduce insurance claims
Each valve is given a unique bar code number. This record is stored within a
central database together with the TMV location and maintenance due date.
Operator visible checklist can be created for each maintenance routine….mistakes
can be eliminated. Pass/fail parameters can be set to guarantee test consistency.
The timed maintenance schedule ensures that nothing is overlooked or forgotten
Comprehensive reports allow easy access to stored data.
A portable data capture unit (PDCU) contains the engineers work schedule for
the day. Throughout the process a detailed history is being created on the terminal,
giving a complete audit trail for every piece of equipment entered on the system.
When the day’s work has been completed, the information is uploaded to the host
computer.
Valvecheck version 3 now incorporates all mechanical maintenance recording required
within any estates or facilities department.
