Cognex Dataman 6500
The DataMan 6500 uses both diffuse bright-field and a unique dark-field LED illumination
method for reading the extremely low-contrast codes formed by electro-chemical
etch, and dot peen processes.DataMan handheld readers have a lightweight, ergonomic design that’s comfortable
and easy to use, yet features a rugged polycarbonate housing, rubber bumpers,
and shock-mounted electronics that will survive industrial use. A graphical user
interface provides fast, simple setup.
In addition to high read rates, the DataMan readers provide laser-like scanning
performance with a consistent “trigger to good read” of less than 1 second to
deliver accurate and fast decoding and return of results – even on hard-to-read
direct part marks – without slowing down the process or frustrating the operator.

Datalogic Heron Scanner
The new Heron is perfect for small applications at the point of sale as well
as being perfectly suited for the healthcare industry. We have identified that
the Heron Scanner is perfect for scanning blood bags and vials in pathology and
haematology labs as well as across the rest of the hospital. The Heron Scanner
is able to scan emerging RSS (reduced space symbologies) that can be used where
there is little space to place a barcode.
The new Heron™, based on the “INSTINCTIVE READING DISTANCE” concept (from near
contact to over 20cm), includes the “green spot” (Datalogic patent application),
which provides “good reading” feedback directly on the code, where the user usually
tends to be looking.
The stand included in the package allows the reader to be used in a hands-free
mode. If placed correctly in the stand, the reader beeps and automatically switches
to hands-free mode. In this mode, the green spot remains on to show the operator
where to position the code under the Heron™ for quicker and intuitive reading.
As a result, Heron™ is effective as a hand-held reader and presentation scanner.
Heron™ also provides full connectivity: three models are available with different
interface sets. Besides the standard D130 multi-interface model (RS232, USB, WEDGE & WAND), other models are also available: the D110 model, which provides
complete connectivity to main IBM cash registers and POS terminals, and the D140
model performs undecoded reader applications.

Datalogic Gryphon
The new Gryphon™ reader series has been developed by Datalogic to provide optimized
reading performance through excellent ergonomic design. The “INSTINCTIVE READING
DISTANCE”, a concept introduced by Datalogic a few years ago based on in-depth
ergonomic studies, represents the natural position of the user while reading a
code. The Gryphon™ series takes this concept one step further; optimised optics
allow reading of the most popular standard codes with superior depths of field
from near contact to over 30 cm. The “green spot”, (Datalogic patent application)
produced by the Gryphon™ provides “good reading” feedback directly on the code,
where the user usually tends to be looking.
Gryphon™ connectivity is now further expanded thanks to the introduction of new
tethered models. Besides the standard Gryphon™ models D100 and D200, the new Gryphon™
USB models D120, D220 are now available. They provide full compatibility with
every application that takes advantage of the USB interface: USB KBD Wedge, USB COM emulation and USB IBM POS. Furthermore, the D110 model provides complete
connectivity to main IBM cash registers and POS terminals.
The Gryphon™ M100 and M200, allow operations anywhere mobility is required at
the desk/POS and around the shop floor, as well as in small warehouses. In addition,
the Gryphon™ readers also read Reduced Space Symbology (RSS), an emerging symbology
that can be printed on a smaller label which meets emerging market needs for a
greater amount of data on a symbol.

Hand Held Products - IT4600 PDF and Imager scanners
The Hand Held Products IT4600 retail and commercial Imager reads conventional
linear bar codes or 2D matrix symbologies, including signature/proof of delivery
image capture, OCR, or omni directional data reading.
There are two versions IT4600PDF and IT46002D providing a wide range of applications
from back of store to POS. With a faster scan and decode rate than most conventional
linear bar code scanners the IT4600 Series provides a highly effective and affordable
solution across a wide range of applications including retail, commercial, government
and pharmaceutical sectors.

Datalogic Dragon Mobile Model
The Datalogic industrial laser scanner DRAGON™ series offers two new models with
radio frequency bi-directional data transmission.The operator is not limited by
a cable and the device can be used up to 50 meters away from the base station.
All models are equipped between the base station and the host.

Datalogic Dragon Desk Model
A truly industrialised laser gun, the Datalogic Dragon D101 operates reliably
and consistently in harsh industrial environments. A tough yet ergonomic product
with optimum manageability featuring: clearly audible dual beepers and bright
‘good read’ LEDs for areas where noise levels are normally high; optical parts
completely suspended on shock absorbers to prevent misalignment after repeated
‘knocks’; and careful choice of body materials, such as a composite of ABS, polycarbonate
and co-moulded rubber.
