    WIP MASTER – Work-In-Progress tracking
     
    WIP Master monitors the complete manufacturing process from receipt of order through to despatch. It gives immediate, real time, notification of the status of all active customer orders.

    Customer orders are entered onto the system when received and the tasks required for the production process allocated. The system will produce a job card that accompanies the job throughout the manufacturing process. The job card contains the works order number in barcode form. Barcoded labels to identify the product can also be printed.
     
    As jobs arrive at each manufacturing cell or location the operator scans the works order number, the operator ID and the task performed. The software will sort the scanned information and instantaneously update the central database. This enables product tracking throughout the production process. If tasks are missed or performed out of sequence an alert is immediately activated.
     
    Barcode scanners at the manufacturing cells can work over an ethernet network or via a Radio Frequency wireless (RF) link.
     
    The system will produce all reports required to run a lean manufacturing process. These reports may include, location of products in process, mean time between jobs, time to complete manufacturing process, downtime, and many other key performance indicators.
